IMESCO is a custom precision manufacturer, fabricator, and mechanical engineering company located in Fredericktown, Ohio. We have been heavily involved in the development and construction of industrial microwave systems since the 1990’s. IMESCO has engineered and built control systems, switchgear, cogeneration units, industrial uninterruptible power supplies, battery racks, complete motor control systems, and various precision microwave system components. We continue to collaborate with industrial microwave engineers on refinement and upgrading of the microwave technology, both for solid and liquid applications. Theresa Chandler is the CEO of IMESCO and one of the founders, along with her husband Russell, of Craftsman Controls, the original iteration of IMESCO, in 1969. She has 53 years of experience in the industrial power generation, microwave process, and power management industry, beginning her career with the Cooper-Bessemer Corporation in 1960. Theresa Chandler, or “Tess” as she is known, truly epitomizes the model of a female business owner. Tess is responsible for the financial and personnel aspects of the company, although her position allows her input into all aspects of the company. Her years of experience in the industry have allowed Tess to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, mechanical processes, and manufacturing techniques, as well as her vast business acumen. Tess graduated from Marion Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio. She is also a licensed realtor. She has resided in the Knox County area since 1960, and has two grown children, Scott and Kim.
Scott Chandler is President of IMESCO. Mr. Chandler has over 18 years of experience in the industrial power generation, microwave process, and power management industry, working for his parent’s company beginning at the age of 10, cutting grass. Scott began his production time at IMESCO working on the shop floor, performing various jobs ranging from sandblasting, grinding welds, cutting various metal shapes, wiring, testing of both high and low-voltage equipment, and fabrication and assembly of machinery. Scott finally moved into management when he returned to the company in 2002. Scott is now responsible for sales, day-to-day operations, customer and vendor liaison, IT, and coordinating the engineering, management, and shop employee aspects of IMESCO. Mr. Chandler wears many hats, and is involved in every aspect of the business. Scott has a comprehensive understanding of the microwave process, manufacturing and assembly techniques, sales, purchasing, IT, and personnel management. Scott graduated from Fredericktown High School, Fredericktown, Ohio in 1981. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Kenyon College in 1985, where he was a four-year starter and letter winner for the Kenyon College Lords football team. Scott did his Master’s degree work in Clinical Psychology at Radford University in Radford, Virginia. He resides with his family in Apple Valley, Ohio.

John Hampton is a certified welder. John has extensive experience welding various types of metals, including carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. John is also accomplished in using other tools of the welding trade, including plasma cutters and acetylene torches, as well as all types of metal shaping and finishing tools. John graduated from Fredericktown High School and the Knox County Joint Vocational School in 1975, and immediately began working as a welder for Chesterville Sand and Gravel. John also worked at Hi-Lo Corporation in Bellville, Ohio, before coming to work for IMESCO in 1990. John is not only a certified welder, but is primarily responsible for shearing, bending, layout and execution of cutouts in metal assemblies, and in assembling the finished constructs. John is IMESCO’s expert “problem solver” when it comes to all mechanical processes, and actually has a high degree of practical mechanical engineering experience and expertise. John is generally included in any engineering and production meetings, especially when design and fabrication issues are being determined. He also has experience in high and low-voltage wiring and testing. John is certified to weld pipe, and has extensive experience welding both carbon steel and aluminum pipe to exact tolerances. John resides in Fredericktown, Ohio with his family.
Scott Hile is IMESCO’s Purchasing Agent, painter, and is responsible for overseeing and executing wiring and testing of electrical components. Scott graduated from Napoleon High School in 1992. After graduation, Scott served in the US Army for the next two years. He then attended Northwest State Community College majoring in electrical technology. Scott came to IMESCO in 2000. As Purchasing Agent, Scott is the primary point of contact with vendors. He oversees obtaining pricing, ordering, receiving, and the maintenance of the stockroom. Scott has extensive experience with IMESCO assembling and testing electrical components, including building printed circuit boards. He has expertise in both high and low-voltage electrical assemblies. He is also responsible for the layout and creation of drawings and schematics using the CAD system. Scott has many years of experience painting, particularly with industrial chemical coatings, but has applied various coatings during his years with the company. Scott has a high level of mechanical expertise, and often assists or oversees these aspects of the work IMESCO performs. Scott’s background also includes supervisory experience, and he is capable of overseeing other IMESCO employees. Scott resides in Mt. Gilead, Ohio with his family.
